Summer Camp 2018
Winthrop Arts is thrilled to be offering our second year summer camp. Last year's camp was a blast and we sold out all three weeks! Again we are happy to offer three fantastic weeks of camp offerings! We have sold out the first two weeks of camp already, but we still have spaces for week three! COST:
$80/week per camper (includes all materials, camp t-shirt & visit to the Tampa Museum of Art)
AGES:
5 - 7 / 8 and above
CAMP DETAILS:
All camps are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 12:30pm. See below for a description of each week of camp. A free Friday visit to the Tampa Museum of Art is included to conclude each week of summer camp!* All students are required to bring their own snack everyday and a bag lunch on Fridays.
*A Bus will be provided from the Art Factory to the Tampa Museum of Art each Friday. Students and teachers will depart from the Art Factory and return by 12:30pm. Campers need to bring a bag lunch on Fridays only.
Week 1, June 4 - 8: Creating an imaginary carousel - SOLD OUT!
Campers will learn drawing and painting from a professional artist as they create an imaginary carousel. Campers will produce a life-size carousel using recycled materials.
Week 2, June 11 to June 15: PUBLIC ART - SOLD OUT!
Campers will join local artists as they design, construct and produce a mixed-media public art piece.
Week 3, June 18 to June 22: All about fabric
Campers will learn about sewing, fabrics and printmaking as they create flags, puppets and more.
